Gushing about Noncompliant

We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Noncompliant for our June 7 Pride party. A cornerstone of the American scene & true mid-west techno vet. She brings 3 decades of experience behind the decks having started playing parties in the 90s.

Who She Is

The DJing and parties are great and all, we love that stuff, but it is what she exudes and who she is, that really excites us. The values and the work she does to champion the community. An artist that truly embodies her namesake. You watched that doc yet?

So Many Parties

You can name just about any notable or legendary festival, party or club & she’s probably played it. More than once. Tresor, Movement, Berghain/Panorama Bar, or many of the US greats. The list goes on.

Productions

But it doesn’t stop there, she’s an incredible producer on top of it all. Having releases on Valence, Argot, Flash, and Dark Entries to name a few labels. Her tune “Women’s Work” was on Fiedel’s official Berghain 08 mix and on his label Fiedeltwo. In 2023, she launched her own label Giant Arm, which features her signature style of raw, uncompromising techno.

This all dovetails nicely into our next topic.

Pride

With all that’s been going down, creating joy & celebrating our community is as critical as it ever was. So as we enter June we remember all those that stood up at the Stone Wall Uprising, all those that worked before it to even make that possible, all those that kept fighting after it, and all those that fight with us now.

We ain’t done yet and we’ll have plenty of challenges ahead but together we’ll make it through and come out on the other side living in a world were everyone on the right side of love and joyful enthusiastic acceptance can feel safe. Fuck all them other people.

So with all this we find ourselves hard pressed to think of a better guest artist to feature than Noncompliant (you watched the doc, right :-D).

But that’s not all folks. We’re going to be in a brand new never before seen secret location that’ll go toe to toe w/ her if we don’t say so ourselves. This one is kind of insane.
